The Settings window
How to open Settings, how its rail is ordered, the two entries that come and go (Initial Setup, Developer), and the red Reset page at the bottom: return to setup versus erase everything.
Profile
Settings → Profile, control by control: your name, the AI's name, the Save button, the identity roles recorded during onboarding, and the profile creation date.
Appearance
Settings → Appearance, control by control: language, theme, accent color, widget windows, icon pack, background layers, menu bar side, the endless canvas and its ornaments, light mode, GPU choice, and the reset.
AI & Models
Settings → AI & Models, control by control: the embedding model and its dimensions, the intelligence model (cloud providers, Mnemosyne Cloud credits, your own server, local GGUF models), where API keys live, the Costs journal, and the re-index warning.
Vaults
Settings → Vaults, control by control: the tile groups, the vault panel (identity, status, RAG attention, Sources, Spines, Governance), creating a vault and feeding it, the Configure DocWatch modal, Rebuild all, the live state of watched folders, and the danger zone.
OCR
Settings → OCR, control by control: the two engines (RapidOCR, MinerU), install stages, the test button, the Engramm license gate on the GPU engine, and the counter of scanned PDFs waiting for a reader.
Images
Settings → Images, control by control: switching image memory on, the three-step setup (vision engine, SigLIP 2 model, index), the GPU switch, images inside Word documents, background removal quality, and the local generation engine with its Hugging Face account and model catalogue.
NVIDIA
Settings → NVIDIA, control by control: the detection banner, the CUDA switch for local GGUF models and what it really writes, the four reasons the page gives, and the restart it asks for.
Voice

Governance
Settings → Governance, control by control: duplicate detection (document file types, ignored file names, Save & rescan), the cross-vault folder overlap analysis and its Resolve buttons, and the devices on your local network that apps were allowed to read.
Shortcuts

Web

Backup & Restore
Settings → Backup & Restore, control by control: encryption at rest and its 24-word recovery phrase, the carrier passphrase that lets your secrets travel, creating a backup ZIP (with or without the wallet key), restoring one, and how each secret is handled.
